Admission at a glance
North South University's own admissions site sets out undergraduate entry requirements directly: a combined SSC and HSC GPA of 8.0 with a minimum of 3.5 in each, or equivalent O and A-Level, IB or US high school results, plus an English proficiency requirement of SAT 1100, IELTS 6.0, or TOEFL PBT 514 / CBT 180 / iBT 72 for applicants whose prior schooling was not in English. Engineering applicants need at least a B grade in HSC Physics and Mathematics, and Pharmacy applicants need at least an A minus in SSC and HSC Chemistry and Biology with at least a B in Physics and Mathematics. NSU's own admission test is waived entirely for applicants who reach a higher bar, SAT 1150, IELTS 7.0, or TOEFL PBT 563 / CBT 223 / iBT 85, subject to some programme restrictions the page does not fully spell out. The application fee is 2,000 taka by bank deposit or 2,031 taka through bKash.
A separate page for international applicants confirms NSU's admission test is waived outright for foreign students, who instead need a combined 12th grade average of 60 percent or higher plus the same SAT, IELTS or TOEFL alternative described above, and who submit middle and high school transcripts, a passport copy, a letter from their home institution confirming English medium instruction, and medical certificates, before completing a five step enrolment process that ends with collecting an NSU ID card from the Registrar's Office. NSU's own tuition fee page confirms a single per-credit tuition rate of 8,000 taka for every undergraduate programme, effective Spring 2026, alongside a 25,000 taka admission fee, a refundable 10,000 taka caution money deposit, and smaller recurring semester charges (computer lab, student activity, library and science lab fees, each a few thousand taka, with the Pharmacy and Law programmes on a bi-semester schedule that charges some of these twice as often).
