KUET's own pages also carry a distinct and unusually specific process for foreign nationals: a page titled International Students sits at kuet.ac.bd/program/internationalstudent, and a linked apply procedure page states plainly that a student must not apply directly to the university, and instead uses a prescribed application form, available from the Bangladeshi embassy or high commission in the applicant's own country, submitted to that country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which forwards it to the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs for government approval before it reaches KUET's Registrar. The specific 2025-26 application dates, test dates and fee amounts sit on admission.kuet.ac.bd, which this research pass did not attempt to fetch directly after the main kuet.ac.bd site already gave the session status; the international student apply procedure page did not state fees, deadlines or an English test requirement either. Search results describing a specific KUET circular publication date and a minimum SSC GPA trace to third party admission sites, not to kuet.ac.bd, so those specific figures are not used here.

A further fetch of kuet.ac.bd from a server inside Bangladesh on 2026-09-07 reloaded the homepage and reconfirms the 2025-2026 session is active, with the fifth call notice for undergraduate admission dated precisely 2 June 2026 on the site's own notice list. The same page confirms the university's founding history: established in 1967 as Khulna Engineering College under the University of Rajshahi, development paused during the Liberation War, and academic activities restarted on 3 June 1974. The homepage's own International Students nav link was present but this fetch did not open its content separately in this pass; the fuller international admission route described above (the embassy-to-embassy government channel, with direct application not permitted) was confirmed by directly reading kuet.ac.bd/program/internationalstudent and kuet.ac.bd/program/isapplyprocedure in the earlier pass, and that finding stands unchanged.

Requirements

Bachelor, session 2025-2026

KUET ran its own admission test for 2025-2026; the combined KUET, RUET and CUET test is no longer held. Applicants needed SSC or an equivalent in 2022 or 2023 with at least GPA 4.00, and HSC or an equivalent in 2025 with a combined GP of at least 18.00 in mathematics, physics, chemistry and English and at least 4.00 in each of mathematics, physics and chemistry. Biomedical Engineering also requires GP 4.00 in biology. The top 12,000 applicants by those HSC grades sit the test.

The written test is 500 marks over three hours: mathematics 150, physics 150, chemistry 150 and English 50. Architecture applicants also sit a one-hour 100-mark freehand drawing test. The circular lists 1,065 seats, 5 of them reserved.

The fee was paid in two steps: BDT 500 to have the application checked, then BDT 800 (Group Ka) or BDT 1,000 (Group Kha) to sit the test. Applications ran from 3 to 13 December 2025 and the test was held on 15 January 2026.
