Bachelor, session 2025-2026

KUET ran its own admission test for 2025-2026; the combined KUET, RUET and CUET test is no longer held. Applicants needed SSC or an equivalent in 2022 or 2023 with at least GPA 4.00, and HSC or an equivalent in 2025 with a combined GP of at least 18.00 in mathematics, physics, chemistry and English and at least 4.00 in each of mathematics, physics and chemistry. Biomedical Engineering also requires GP 4.00 in biology. The top 12,000 applicants by those HSC grades sit the test.

The written test is 500 marks over three hours: mathematics 150, physics 150, chemistry 150 and English 50. Architecture applicants also sit a one-hour 100-mark freehand drawing test. The circular lists 1,065 seats, 5 of them reserved.

The fee was paid in two steps: BDT 500 to have the application checked, then BDT 800 (Group Ka) or BDT 1,000 (Group Kha) to sit the test. Applications ran from 3 to 13 December 2025 and the test was held on 15 January 2026.

Documents

For Bangladeshi applicants: SSC and HSC (or equivalent) certificates and mark sheets, submitted during the online application on admission.kuet.ac.bd. For foreign applicants: the prescribed application form obtained from the Bangladesh embassy or high commission in the applicant's own country; KUET's own page does not list further documents beyond that form.

How to apply

1. Bangladeshi applicants: wait for KUET's own admission circular on admission.kuet.ac.bd, apply online, and sit the written admission test; KUET has historically processed admission through several sequential merit calls rather than one release.
2. Foreign applicants: obtain the prescribed application form from the Bangladesh embassy or high commission in your own country.
3. Submit that form to your own country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
4. Your government forwards the form to Bangladesh's Ministry of Foreign Affairs for approval.
5. Once approved, the application reaches KUET's Registrar directly; KUET's own page does not describe what happens after that step.

English test waiver

KUET does not publish an IELTS or TOEFL threshold anywhere this research could reach, including its own international student pages. Foreign nationals do not apply to KUET directly at all: its own international student guidance states an applicant must not apply directly to the university, and instead submits a prescribed form through the Bangladesh embassy or high commission in their own country, which is forwarded through government channels for approval before it reaches KUET's Registrar. No English test score is described as part of that process.
