Hamad Bin Khalifa University's online graduate admission application opens to the public on 1 October 2026, and the deadline for international graduate applicants is 1 February 2027; Qatari and resident applicants have later deadlines. Every graduate application carries a non-refundable QAR 250 fee, and applicants need IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 79. Tuition is charged per credit hour: science, engineering and health master's programmes such as the MSc in Data Science and Engineering cost QAR 4,000 per credit hour, QAR 132,000 for 33 credits over two years, the PhD in Computer Science and Engineering costs QAR 240,000, and the Master of Public Policy QAR 90,000 at QAR 2,500 per credit hour. HBKU-sponsored graduate students receive tuition waivers of 100% for PhD programmes and 75% for science and health master's programmes, and international students on stipends receive QAR 7,000 a month for master's study or QAR 9,000 for PhD study, working 10 hours a week as research assistants. Undergraduate engineering programmes cost QAR 2,250 per credit hour. Funding awards are not guaranteed and depend on available funds.
