Admission at a glance

International applicants, including students from Bangladesh who live outside Qatar, apply to the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) through the UDST online application portal at apply.udst.edu.qa. UDST offers Diploma, Bachelor's, Post-Diploma, Pre-Master and Master's degree programs across five colleges: Business, Computing and Information Technology, Engineering and Technology, Health Sciences, and General Education. For undergraduate (Bachelor's or Diploma) applicants living outside Qatar, the application window for the Fall 2026 intake opened February 8, 2026 and closed May 31, 2026, with an earlier Early Acceptance option closing April 20, 2026. For Master's programs, international applications for the same intake closed June 7, 2026, earlier than the local-applicant deadline of September 1, 2026.

To apply, a student creates an account on the applicant portal, fills out the application, books the mandatory UDST Placement Test (unless exempt through an accepted IELTS, TOEFL or SAT score, or a prior UDST Placement Test result valid within two years), and pays a non-refundable 300 QAR application fee before submitting. A Qatari ID copy is not required from international applicants, unlike local applicants. Undergraduate applicants submit a copy of their final Grade 12 school report and their passport. Master's applicants submit their passport, bachelor's degree transcripts, and, where relevant, an employment certificate. English proficiency can be shown through IELTS, TOEFL iBT, or UDST's own Academic Placement Test in English. Once accepted, international students are sponsored by UDST for a Student Visa for the duration of their studies, and are asked to provide a passport copy, final high school transcript, IELTS or SAT certificate, and a police clearance certificate from their country of residence as part of the visa process.

Requirements

Diploma and Bachelor's Degree

• High School Average Minimum Score approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education: 60 percent.
• UDST Academic Placement Test: English score 65 (some Computing and Information Technology programs also require a Math score of 60, plus final-year Mathematics and a final-year Science or Technology subject in secondary school).
• English test exemption is possible with an accepted IELTS score (Overall Band 5, no sub-score below 5.0), TOEFL iBT score (49, no section below 12), or SAT score (480 or higher), each valid for two years from the test date (three years for SAT), or with a valid UDST Placement Test result from the past two years.
• Qatari ID copy required for local applicants; not required for international applicants.

Master's Degree

• A relevant Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, generally with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (specific GPA and work-experience alternatives vary by program and college).
