Admission at a glance
TU Graz opens its application period earlier than it closes enrolment. For winter semester 2026/27, bachelor's programmes without an admission procedure applied from 6 July to 5 September 2026 and master's programmes from 6 July to 30 November 2026; bachelor's programmes with an admission procedure (including Architecture and Molecular Biology) ran to 31 October 2026. For summer semester 2027, bachelor's programmes without an admission procedure apply from 11 January to 5 February 2027, extended to 31 March 2027 in exceptional circumstances, and master's programmes apply from 11 January to 30 April 2027. Applicants whose school leaving certificate is not equivalent to the Austrian Matura may need to complete supplementary exams or courses, decided case by case; the required-documents page gives country-specific notes for a long list of countries including Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Nepal and Afghanistan. German-taught programmes need German at A2 for application; English-taught programmes need English at C1, meaning IELTS 7.0, TOEFL iBT 95, or PTE Academic 76. Non-EU nationals pay tuition of EUR 726.72 a semester, and every degree student also pays the ÖH union fee, currently EUR 26.20 a semester. No official page found during this research states an application fee for admission.

Master
A certificate of a completed undergraduate degree and a transcript of records showing subjects, grades and credits. Language requirement follows the programme: German for German-taught programmes, English at C1 for English-taught programmes, which run their own admission procedure.
PhD
A completed master's degree or equivalent and admission to a doctoral programme; language requirement follows the programme's language of instruction.
