Eindhoven University of Technology Admission 2027: Deadlines, Requirements, Fees for International Students

Admission at a glance

Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) teaches bachelor's and master's programmes across its Bachelor College and graduate schools, concentrated in engineering, computer science, industrial design and applied physics. TU/e charges one non-EEA institutional bachelor's rate, about EUR 18,600 a year for 2026-2027, against a statutory rate of EUR 2,694 for eligible EEA students. Applicants who completed their prior education outside the Netherlands, or at an international school within it, pay a non-refundable EUR 100 application fee per application.

English-taught programmes require IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with at least 6.0 per section, or TOEFL iBT 90 overall with at least 21 per section under the scoring system used before 21 January 2026 (TU/e states an equivalent 4.5 overall on the new scale introduced from that date). Cambridge CPE or CAE are also accepted.

For the 2027-2028 academic year, TU/e names four bachelor's programmes that run a Selection procedure: Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences; Computer Science and Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; and Chemical Engineering and Chemistry (English track). Selection applications open 1 October 2026 and close 15 January 2027, with tests in March and April 2027 and ranking results announced 15 April 2027. TU/e's other Bachelor of Science programmes, which do not require Selection, follow the Netherlands' standard Studielink deadlines rather than this earlier date.

Requirements

Bachelor

A secondary qualification recognised as giving access to university-level study, meeting the mathematics and science prerequisites of the chosen programme. English-taught programmes require IELTS Academic 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 90, unless exempt. Architecture Urbanism and Building Sciences, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering and Chemistry (English track) additionally require the Selection procedure.

Master

A relevant bachelor's degree, normally in engineering or a related science, meeting the specific master's programme's own grade and prerequisite-course requirements.
