Admission at a glance
Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) is a public technical university offering bachelor's and master's programmes in engineering, computer science, architecture and the natural sciences. Unlike universities with faculty-by-faculty tuition tiers, TU Delft charges one flat non-EEA institutional rate for all bachelor's programmes, set at about EUR 19,906 a year for 2026-2027, alongside a statutory rate of EUR 2,694 for eligible EEA students. There is no separate charge for submitting a bachelor's application; the only payment before enrolment is the tuition invoice issued after conditional admission.
Applicants with a non-Dutch or international secondary qualification submit their complete application, including diploma, transcript and English test result, before 1 April. Six bachelor's programmes, Industrial Design Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Clinical Technology, Nanobiology, Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences, and Computer Science and Engineering, run a numerus clausus selection procedure with places awarded by ranking; results are announced by mid-April. English-taught programmes ask for IELTS Academic 6.5 overall or TOEFL iBT 90, with Cambridge CAE or CPE accepted as alternatives; native speakers and those schooled in English in specific countries are exempt.
Once admitted, non-EU/EEA students apply for a residence permit for study through TU Delft as their recognised sponsor, and pay tuition by the date on their admission invoice before enrolling.

Requirements
Bachelor
A secondary qualification recognised as giving access to higher education, meeting the subject prerequisites (commonly mathematics and physics) of the chosen programme. English-taught programmes require IELTS Academic 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 90; Dutch-taught programmes require IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 70. The six numerus clausus programmes add a selection procedure alongside the academic requirements.
Master
A relevant bachelor's degree with grades meeting the programme's own threshold; many engineering master's programmes also ask for specific prior coursework.
