Eindhoven University of Technology Admission Requirements 2027

TU Eindhoven is a public technical university teaching engineering, computer science and industrial design, with one flat non-EEA bachelor's tuition rate of about EUR 18,600 a year for 2026-2027. Four of its bachelor's programmes require a Selection procedure with a 15 January application deadline for the 2027-2028 intake.

Requirements

Bachelor

A secondary qualification recognised as giving access to university-level study, meeting the mathematics and science prerequisites of the chosen programme. English-taught programmes require IELTS Academic 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 90, unless exempt. Architecture Urbanism and Building Sciences, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering and Chemistry (English track) additionally require the Selection procedure.

Master

A relevant bachelor's degree, normally in engineering or a related science, meeting the specific master's programme's own grade and prerequisite-course requirements.

Documents

Diploma and transcript of secondary (and, where relevant, higher) education, certified translation if not in Dutch or English, a passport copy, and an English test certificate from a single test date, no more than two years old, unless exempt. Selection-programme applicants also complete programme-set tests or assignments between application and the mid-April ranking.

How to apply

Register in Studielink for your chosen bachelor's or master's programme.
Pay the EUR 100 application fee if your prior education was outside the Netherlands or at an international school within it.
If applying to one of the four Selection programmes, complete registration and the Selection procedure between 1 October 2026 and 15 January 2027; other Bachelor of Science programmes follow the standard Studielink deadline instead.
Upload your diploma, transcript and English test result to TU/e's application system.
If admitted and from outside the EU/EEA, apply for a residence permit for study with TU/e as your recognised sponsor.
Pay the tuition invoice and arrange housing and health insurance before enrolling.

English test waiver

TOEFL iBT tests taken from 21 January 2026 use a new scoring system; TU/e states the equivalent minimum as 4.5 overall on that new scale. Certificates must come from a single test date and be no more than two years old.
