Ege University Admission 2027: Deadlines, Fees, Requirements

Admission at a glance

Ege University admits international undergraduates on a quota separate from the domestic exam, and since 2026 the entry route is the national TR-YOS rather than the university's own EGEYOS. A candidate needs at least 200 out of 500 on a TR-YOS sitting held in the year before applying, or a GCE A Level result converted to the TR-YOS scale. Applications, programme choices and placement run on a published calendar with three rounds, and a candidate may list up to five programmes. Placement is by score order within each programme's quota, with a 20 percent country cap, and a separate 10 percent limit applies to teaching, law, medicine, dentistry and pharmacy for blue card holders and dual nationals. Candidates choosing English Language and Literature, American Culture and Literature, German Language and Literature, either translation and interpreting degree, or Tourism Guidance must also pass the Foreign Language Proficiency Exam run by the School of Foreign Languages with at least 70 out of 100, or have an equivalent certificate approved in advance; otherwise those choices are ignored. Sport Sciences and the conservatory admit through separate aptitude exams. Documents are uploaded to the e-registration system and the originals are posted to the Student Affairs Directorate.

Ege University holds its own EGEYOS foreign student exam, with results also accepted by a large number of other Turkish universities; the exact current minimum passing score was not confirmed clearly enough from an official page to record here. A certified high school diploma and transcript, translated into Turkish, is required, together with an equivalency certificate for the diploma.
