Admission at a glance
AGH University of Krakow is a technical university based in Krakow, organised through a Department for International Students that runs a separate recruitment track for candidates without Polish citizenship. Admission for most fields is decided by an admission rate calculated on a 0 to 1,000-point scale, built mainly from the candidate's converted secondary-school grades; a candidate is admitted only once their rate clears the threshold published for that specific field and recruitment cycle, which for 2026/2027 bachelor's programmes ranged from about 426 to 880 points depending on the field. Candidates holding a Polish, IB, EB, or an EU/EFTA/OECD/Ukraine/China secondary certificate are not required to sit AGH's own mathematics entrance exam; a candidate from any other education system must sit this exam, and the result substitutes for the advanced-mathematics component of the admission rate, with 30% treated as a pass. The university's e-Rekrutacja system converts foreign grades onto AGH's own 0-100% scale before the rate is calculated. A candidate preliminarily qualified for more than one field may register for only one. Tuition is billed per semester rather than per year, fixed separately for each of AGH's English-taught programmes, and recruitment runs in up to three cycles a year as places remain open after the first.
