Requirements
Bachelor
- A secondary school certificate; Polish, IB, EB and EU/EFTA/OECD/Ukraine/China certificates are converted directly without an extra exam, while other applicants must sit AGH's own mathematics entrance exam (30% minimum pass) unless mathematics was already studied at an equivalent advanced level.
- An admission rate of at least 300 out of 1,000 points overall, and at or above the specific field's own published threshold for the recruitment cycle (426 to 880 points across fields in 2026/2027).
- English proficiency for English-taught programmes: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 87, or an accepted exemption for holders of specific national certificates.
Master
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent entitling further study at master's level in Poland, with grades converted to AGH's own scale.
- The same English proficiency requirement as bachelor level, with the same exemptions.
- Programme-specific requirements set by the admitting faculty.
Documents
Passport copy; secondary school certificate or prior degree diploma with full transcript of grades, scanned for upload to the e-Rekrutacja system; proof of English proficiency or an accepted exemption; and, for applicants without an exempt certificate, registration for AGH's own mathematics entrance exam.
How to apply
- Check the admission-rate threshold and mathematics-exam requirement for your chosen field and recruitment cycle.
- Register in the e-Rekrutacja system, enter your grades and upload scanned certificates.
- Sit AGH's mathematics entrance exam if your certificate is not from an exempt system.
- Pay the application fee (PLN 85, or PLN 100 if the mathematics exam applies) for each declared field.
- Check whether your admission rate clears the field's published threshold once results are published.
- If admitted, complete enrolment with the Department for International Students, pay the first semester's tuition and request the documents needed for the visa.
- Apply for the national type D student visa.
