Admission at a glance

Warsaw University of Technology is Poland's largest technical university, with faculties covering engineering, architecture, computing and applied science across several Warsaw campuses. International candidates who are not Polish citizens apply through the same IRK (Online Recruitment of Candidates) platform used across most Polish public universities, working through the separate bachelor's or master's admission route published by the university's International Students Office rather than the domestic school-leaver route. A candidate registers in IRK, follows an 8-step guide the office publishes for the system, uploads certified school or degree records, and pays the application fee for each field chosen; the office states it takes about a week to verify a candidate's documents before forwarding the file to the relevant faculty. Requirements

Bachelor

• A secondary school certificate qualifying for higher education, generally expected with strong grades in mathematics and science for engineering fields, with a certified translation.
• English proficiency at CEFR B2 or above: IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 87 (or 4.5 on the newer scale), or an accepted Cambridge certificate.
• Programme-specific requirements set by the faculty for competitive fields such as Architecture.

Master

• A bachelor's degree, generally in engineering or a related field for continuation into a specific master's programme.
• The same B2 English minimum as bachelor level.
• A relevant academic background assessed by the admitting faculty; some programmes ask for a portfolio or motivation letter.
