Requirements
Bachelor
- A secondary school certificate qualifying for higher education, generally expected with strong grades in mathematics and science for engineering fields, with a certified translation.
- English proficiency at CEFR B2 or above: IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 87 (or 4.5 on the newer scale), or an accepted Cambridge certificate.
- Programme-specific requirements set by the faculty for competitive fields such as Architecture.
Master
- A bachelor's degree, generally in engineering or a related field for continuation into a specific master's programme.
- The same B2 English minimum as bachelor level.
- A relevant academic background assessed by the admitting faculty; some programmes ask for a portfolio or motivation letter.
Documents
Passport copy; secondary school certificate or prior degree diploma with transcript, certified and translated; proof of English proficiency; and any programme-specific documents, such as a portfolio for Architecture, requested once preliminarily qualified. Names must be entered in IRK exactly as they appear in the applicant's passport.
How to apply
- Choose a programme from the B.Sc. or M.Sc. offer list and check its specific fee and requirements.
- Register in the IRK system following the International Students Office's 8-step registration guide.
- Upload the required certified and translated documents and pay the application fee (PLN 85).
- Wait for the International Students Office to verify documents, typically about a week, before the file goes to the faculty.
- Receive the admission decision, generally within about two to three weeks of the registration deadline.
- Accept the offer, pay the first semester's tuition, and request the documents needed for the visa.
- Apply for the national type D student visa.
English test waiver
WUT does not accept Duolingo or a school's own medium-of-instruction letter, except from IB and European Baccalaureate diploma holders. TOEFL iBT is also stated as 4.5 on the test's newer section-based scale; Cambridge B2 First, C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency and BEC Vantage are accepted in place of a test score.
