Admission at a glance
The Medical University of Warsaw, known by its Polish initials WUM, runs its English-taught programmes through a distinct English Division (ed.wum.edu.pl) rather than the university's general Polish-language admission route. Non-EU applicants choose between three separate admission paths depending on their prior qualifications and documents: a Competency Test path built around the university's own written and interview assessment; a Medical Standardised Test Score path, which accepts an existing UCAT, BMAT, MCAT, GAMSAT or HPAT result in place of WUM's own test; and a University GPA path open to applicants who already hold a BSc or MSc degree, assessed on their prior academic record rather than a new entrance test. Each path carries its own application fee, EUR 24 for the Competency Test route and EUR 20 for the other two. An admitted candidate pays a EUR 1,000 confirmation fee as a start-up payment toward tuition, non-refundable except that EUR 500 may be returned if the candidate withdraws before a mid-July cutoff. Tuition for the 6-year Medicine programme and the 5-year combined Medicine and Dentistry programme is fixed for the whole cycle and billed annually, payable in up to four instalments a year by written request. Registration for the 2026/2027 intake closed 30 June 2026.

Requirements
Bachelor (Medicine, long-cycle)
- A secondary school certificate qualifying for medical study in its country of issue, or, for the University GPA path, a completed BSc or MSc degree.
- Proof of English proficiency at CEFR B2 or above.
- One of three assessment routes: WUM's own Competency Test, an accepted external medical standardised test score (UCAT, BMAT, MCAT, GAMSAT or HPAT), or evaluation of an existing university GPA.

WUM's English-taught offer at this level is the 6-year Medicine programme and the 5-year combined Medicine and Dentistry programme; both are long-cycle master's-equivalent programmes rather than separate bachelor's and master's degrees, and this record reports them under bachelor level to match the site's level categories.
