Admission at a glance

Vytautas Magnus University admits international students to degree programmes for an autumn intake. Under its admission rules for 2026, applicants from non-EU countries could apply for master's programmes from 1 November 2025 to 1 April 2026 and for bachelor's programmes from 1 December 2025 to 1 May 2026. For the 2027-2028 academic year, with studies provisionally starting on 23 August 2027, the university says the autumn intake will open at the beginning of November 2026 and the 2027 rules will be published by then. Every applicant pays a non-refundable application fee of EUR 150, and Ukrainian citizens are exempt. Applicants submit a motivation letter and proof of English, such as IELTS 5.5 to 6.5, TOEFL iBT 87 to 109, PTE Academic 59 or Duolingo 100 to 125, or a document confirming previous studies in English. Non-EU/EFTA tuition for 2026-2027 is EUR 3,400 a year for bachelor's programmes such as Business Administration and Economics and Finance, EUR 4,400 for English Philology and Biotechnology, and EUR 9,600 for Music Production and Performing Arts. Master's tuition is EUR 5,000 for programmes such as Diplomacy and International Relations, EUR 6,000 for Molecular Biology and Biotechnology and Applied Informatics, and EUR 10,624 for Performing Arts. VMU offers tuition fee waivers for applicants to English-taught programmes, and the Lithuanian state offers 70 grants for master's students from listed countries.
