Admission at a glance
Rajshahi University runs its own bachelor's admission test rather than joining the shared GST cluster used by many other public universities. The university's own website, ru.ac.bd, confirms undergraduate admission is currently running for the 2025-2026 academic session and links to the university's dedicated admission portal, admission.ru.ac.bd, where the circular, application form, unit choices and current fee amounts are published each cycle. A related application.ru.ac.bd subdomain, named on the university's own admission pages, carries the guideline for a preliminary application followed by a final application in phases.
A fetch of ru.ac.bd from a server inside Bangladesh on 2026-09-07 loaded the homepage in full and confirms the university was founded on 6 July 1953, sits on a 753-acre campus at Motihar next to the river Padma, and currently has over 1,200 faculty members and more than 30,000 students. The homepage's own admission banner still read "2025-2026" on the verification date, and its notice board that day covered graduate, M.Phil and Ph.D admission rather than a 2026-27 bachelor's circular. This fetch did not reach admission.ru.ac.bd itself, so the 2026-27 application window, test dates and fee amounts remain unconfirmed from an official page.

Requirements
Bachelor (honours), session 2025-2026
Candidates who passed HSC or an equivalent examination in 2024 or 2025 could apply. Humanities and Commerce group candidates needed at least GPA 3.00 in each of SSC and HSC and a combined GPA of 7.00; Science group candidates needed at least GPA 3.50 in each and a combined GPA of 8.00. GCE O and A Level candidates applied through an equivalence process.
The admission test is 100 marks: 80 multiple choice questions in one hour, with 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer and a pass mark of 40 that no quota relaxes. Tests were held in Rajshahi and other divisional centres.
The application fee was BDT 1,200 for the A and C units and BDT 1,000 for the B unit, plus a 10 percent online service charge. Applications ran from 20 November to 7 December 2025, and the tests were held on 16 January (C unit), 17 January (A unit) and 24 January 2026 (B unit). The 2026-2027 circular had not been published when this was checked.
