The University of Latvia publishes no tuition waiver or merit scholarship of its own for non-EU degree students. It awards a EUR 2,000 Baltic Universities Scholarship each year, jointly with the universities of Tartu and Vilnius, to a student who shows proficiency in all three Baltic languages, open to international students. Patron scholarships from the University of Latvia Foundation are available on request, and the Latvian State Scholarships run by VIAA are open only to citizens of countries with an education cooperation agreement with Latvia.
