Debrecen charges in US dollars and publishes a rate for every programme for 2026/27. Medicine is USD 16,900 a year over twelve semesters and Dentistry USD 17,500 over ten. Pharmacy is USD 8,000, Nursing USD 7,500, Physiotherapy USD 7,000, a Public Health bachelor's USD 6,000 and its master's USD 8,000, Molecular Biology USD 8,500, and Social Work in Health Care USD 5,500, the cheapest degree on the list. Outside medicine, most engineering, computing, agriculture and business bachelor's degrees are USD 7,000, with Civil, Mechanical, Mechatronics and Environmental Engineering at USD 7,500 and Biology at USD 6,500. Doctoral schools are mostly USD 6,500, with doctoral Mechanical Engineering at USD 10,000, Food Sciences at USD 9,800 and Management and Business at USD 12,500. Preparatory courses are priced per course: the Basic Medicine Course USD 7,500, an International Foundation Year USD 6,000, its music version USD 7,000, an Intensive Foundation Semester USD 4,800 and a short English course USD 3,000. Two fees come first: a non-refundable application fee of USD 150 and an entrance examination fee of USD 350, both paid by bank transfer with the applicant's name and date of birth in the reference. Where a programme's tuition is under USD 10,000, the whole year's tuition and a general deposit must be paid before the university issues the documents a visa application needs. Health insurance, the medical check and the student card are included in the tuition.
