University of Debrecen Application Deadlines 2027

The University of Debrecen is Hungary's largest centre for international students, teaching medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, engineering, agriculture and business in English in eastern Hungary. Degree tuition for 2026/27 runs from USD 5,500 a year to USD 17,500 for dentistry, and admission is by the university's own entrance examination rather than a central system.

Debrecen's January or February 2027 intake, open to all programmes. The university publishes 1 November as the deadline for this intake. A programme can close before the published date if it fills: Medicine and Dentistry were closed early for the September 2026 intake because of the number of applications received.

The September 2027 intake. Debrecen said in 2026 that the application period would open later that year with a final deadline of 15 May 2027. In the previous cycle the equivalent dates were 15 May for doctoral programmes and 15 June for everything else, so the single May date is what the university has published for this round rather than a repeat of the old pattern. Apply early: Medicine and Dentistry closed before the deadline in the September 2026 round.
