Admission at a glance

The University of Bordeaux was re-formed in its current shape in 2014 from a merger of three earlier Bordeaux universities, and now teaches across science and technology, health, law, economics and management, and the humanities, on several sites in and around Bordeaux.

Application procedures differ between EU and non-EU applicants and are handled through platforms including Etudes en France, depending on residence and programme. Since Bangladesh is not covered by the Etudes en France procedure, a Bangladeshi applicant follows the university's route for applicants outside that list rather than the online platform, applying directly to the programme or through eCandidat as the specific programme directs.

On fees, the University of Bordeaux's own non-EU tuition page states the figures the government set for 2026-2027, published by the French government on 23 June 2026: EUR 2,902 for a bachelor's degree, professional bachelor's, BUT, DAEU, MNESS or PASS programme, and EUR 3,950 for a master's degree; doctoral and HDR study is EUR 398. Exemption from these rates is available through three routes rather than automatically for all non-EU students: a fast-track at registration for students continuing the same degree cycle or of Ukrainian or Lebanese nationality; a fast-track before registration for disability, scholarship holders, EUR/UBGrads admission, refugee status, or two years or more of French tax residency; and a standard application based on social circumstances, which requires paying the fee first and claiming reimbursement if the application is approved. No application fee is stated on the tuition page itself.
