Requirements
Bachelor's (Licence)
A secondary diploma equivalent to the French baccalaureat. Application procedure depends on whether the applicant's country is covered by Etudes en France; Bangladesh is not, so applicants use the university's alternative route.
Master's
A bachelor's degree or equivalent. Proof of language proficiency matching the programme's teaching language (French or English) is required.
Documents
Academic transcripts and diplomas, passport copy, CV, motivation letter, academic references, and proof of language proficiency for the programme's teaching language. Exemption applicants additionally provide documents supporting the specific exemption route (scholarship award letter, refugee status documents, proof of French tax residency, or similar).
How to apply
- Identify the programme and confirm the correct application platform for a Bangladeshi applicant, since Bangladesh is outside Etudes en France.
- Submit academic documents, language proficiency proof and the other required documents.
- If seeking exemption from the differentiated fee, choose the applicable route: fast-track at registration, fast-track before registration, or the standard social-circumstances application (paid first, reimbursed if approved).
- Wait for the admission decision.
- Once admitted, register and pay the applicable tuition, then apply for the student visa.
English test waiver
The University of Bordeaux's tuition and admissions pages do not state one institution-wide IELTS or TOEFL minimum. The university runs a selection of master's programmes taught entirely in English; each sets its own language requirement, and postgraduate applicants are generally asked for proof of language proficiency matching the programme's language of instruction.
