From August 2026 it cut its tuition for non-EU students to NOK 100,500 a year for humanities and social sciences and NOK 150,500 for science and technology, well below other Norwegian universities, but its deadline for non-EU applicants is 15 November, two weeks earlier than most of Norway.

UiT's non-EU and non-EEA window, 15 October to 15 November, two weeks earlier than most Norwegian universities. UiT's own page still states it for the autumn 2026 intake; it runs the same window each year. All documents, including the English test, are due by the same deadline. Results by the end of February. EU, EEA and Swiss applicants use 1 February to 1 March instead, and Fine Arts and Landscape Architecture use 1 March for everyone.
