Admission at a glance

Technological University Dublin, formed in 2019 from the merger of Dublin Institute of Technology, IT Blanchardstown and IT Tallaght, is Ireland's largest technological university, with campuses across Dublin including its main Grangegorman site. International applicants apply online through the course page on the TU Dublin website and pay a non-refundable EUR 50 application fee. The closing date for international applications for September entry has fallen on a Friday in late June in recent years, for example 26 June 2026 for the September 2026 intake; some courses close earlier once places fill, so early application is recommended. TU Dublin's published non-EU fee schedule states EUR 11,650 a year for Level 6 higher certificate programmes and EUR 12,500 for Level 7 ordinary degrees, while fees for Level 8 honours bachelor degrees, the level most non-EU applicants target, are set out in a separate international fees brochure not covered by the figures given directly on the main fees page. International students must pay at least 50 percent of the year's tuition, or EUR 6,000, whichever is greater, before enrolment is confirmed. Applicants whose first language is not English must normally reach IELTS 6.0 with no component below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 80, or Duolingo 120, unless their programme sets a different requirement.
