Requirements
Bachelor
A completed upper secondary education equivalent to Swedish gymnasium, a university admission test (SAT 1300 or higher, ACT 28 or higher, or SweSAT Business/ITB Business 112 or higher), and English proficiency equivalent to English 6.
Master
A bachelor's degree, normally at least 180 ECTS credits, in a relevant field, plus the specific academic and test requirements set by each master's program. English proficiency equivalent to English 6, generally IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no section below 5.5, or TOEFL iBT total 90.
Documents
To universityadmissions.se: predicted or final grades and transcripts, high school diploma or degree certificates, a passport copy, and English test results, by 2 February 2027. To SSE's own Full Fabric application portal: the completed application form, university admission test scores, and a one page CV, by 15 January 2027. The school's own instructions state that SAT, ACT and SweSAT Business/ITB Business scores go only to the Full Fabric portal, not to universityadmissions.se.
How to apply
- Check the entry requirements for the bachelor's or master's program on SSE's own admissions pages.
- Submit the school specific application, including the university admission test score and a CV, through SSE's Full Fabric portal by 15 January 2027.
- Separately apply through universityadmissions.se, pay the SEK 900 application fee if required, and upload transcripts, diploma and English test results by 2 February 2027.
- Wait for the selection decision from SSE.
- Accept the offer and pay the SEK 360,000 program fee, or confirm a scholarship covering part of it, if you are a fee paying student.
- Apply for a Swedish residence permit for studies once tuition is paid or a scholarship is confirmed.
English test waiver
Stockholm School of Economics accepts IELTS, TOEFL iBT, Cambridge Michigan Language Assessments, Pearson PTE Academic and Cambridge ESOL, generally at a level equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6. It does not itself charge an application fee; the SEK 900 fee is paid to universityadmissions.se, where transcripts and English test results are uploaded.
