The Medical University of Sofia, whose founding law dates from 1917, teaches Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy in English. Non-EU students pay EUR 9,950 a year for Medicine, EUR 10,000 for Dental Medicine and EUR 8,000 for Pharmacy in 2026-27, and the non-EU application deadline for this year was extended to 25 September 2026, with the online entrance exam on 2 October.

The Medical University of Sofia's 2026-27 fees for students from outside the EU are set per year in euros. Medicine in English costs EUR 9,950 a year, Dental Medicine in English EUR 10,000 and Pharmacy in English EUR 8,000. At the Faculty of Public Health, Nursing in English costs EUR 5,000 and Kinesitherapy in English EUR 4,900. A preparatory year in English at the Language Department costs EUR 4,800. For comparison, the Bulgarian-taught programmes cost EUR 9,950 for Medicine, EUR 6,550 for Dental Medicine and EUR 8,000 for Pharmacy. The fee for submitting documents is EUR 55, the entrance exam in English, Biology and Chemistry costs EUR 210, and exam fees for Nursing and Kinesitherapy are EUR 105; exam fees are not refundable. A training manual for biology and chemistry costs EUR 15.34.
