Admission at a glance

Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Surabaya accepts international applicants for full degree study at the applied degree (D4), undergraduate (S1), master (S2) and doctoral (S3) levels. Some departments run an International Undergraduate Program (IUP) taught in English, while other departments teach only in Bahasa Indonesia. Applicants who choose a department outside the IUP must first complete a one-year Indonesian language course at ITS before starting their studies. Applications are made through the ITS online admission system, where the applicant creates an account, fills in the biodata and academic tabs, and uploads each required document as a PDF file of no more than 500 KB. Full degree applicants submit a passport valid for at least 22 months, an ITS health information form and a medical statement, the certified certificate and transcript of their latest education, a statement letter of behavior and funding, a CV, a study plan of at least 300 words, a motivation letter of at least 300 words, and an English proficiency certificate. The ITS page for full degree applicants names an application deadline of 31 May 2026 for the Fall Semester 2026, which runs from 25 August to 12 December 2026. Bachelor

• Full degree study at ITS is offered at the applied degree (D4) and undergraduate (S1) levels, in Bahasa Indonesia or, in some departments, in the English-taught International Undergraduate Program (IUP).
• Applicants to non-IUP programmes must complete a one-year Indonesian language course at ITS before beginning their studies.
• Latest education certificate and transcript, certified by the government or Ministry of Education of the applicant's country.
• English proficiency: TOEFL iBT 64, IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL PBT 510, valid for no more than 2 years.
• Passport with at least 22 months of validity from the date of application.

Master

• Latest education certificate and transcript, certified by the government or Ministry of Education of the applicant's country.
• English proficiency: TOEFL iBT 64, IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL PBT 510, valid for no more than 2 years.
• Passport with at least 22 months of validity from the date of application.
• A separate statement letter of behavior and funding template exists for master applicants.
