Semmelweis charges by semester and, like the other Hungarian universities, in two currencies, so the headline range above is the dollar-priced medical faculties only. In US dollars: General Medicine and Dentistry are both USD 10,450 a semester, which is USD 20,900 an academic year, and Pharmaceutical Sciences is USD 6,620 a semester, USD 13,240 a year. The Faculty of Health Sciences prices in euros, and the Nursing BSc is EUR 4,050 a semester, EUR 8,100 a year. Each programme page carries the phrase 'plus one time fees', and those are three separate payments worth budgeting for. An admission procedure fee of USD 400 is payable when the application is submitted. A deposit of USD 2,000 falls due within fourteen days of the notification of admission; it is non-refundable, but it is deducted from the first semester's tuition, so it is a prepayment rather than an extra charge as long as the place is taken up. An enrolment fee of USD 230 is paid together with the tuition after acceptance. Together that is USD 2,630 of fees on top of the first semester's tuition, of which USD 2,000 comes back as credit against it.
