Riga Stradins University Scholarships 2027

Riga Stradins University, founded in 1950 as the Riga Medical Institute, has 12,474 students and teaches Medicine, Dentistry and a small group of other programmes in English. International students pay EUR 13,500 a year for Medicine and EUR 15,500 for Dentistry in 2026-27, and EUR 3,300 to EUR 5,000 for its other English-taught programmes. The application fee is EUR 100, and applications for the February 2027 Medicine and Dentistry intake close on 1 October or 1 November 2026 depending on citizenship.

RSU funds tuition fee discounts from its own resources, described for students in the English-language Medicine and Dentistry programmes, and a student can receive only one at a time. The largest is the academic excellence discount of up to 25% for 40 Medicine and 4 Dentistry students in years three to six with a weighted average of at least 8.0, awarded without application in early December 2026. Others are a 10% family member discount, applied for from 1 to 15 September 2026; a 5% discount for promotion and social activity, applied for from 1 to 15 October 2026; a 10% discount for RSU graduates; and a sports discount of up to 100%. RSU lists no entry scholarship for new international applicants, and its AS Olpha Excellence Scholarship is closed to international students.
