Reykjavík University has operated since 4 September 1998, when it began as the Reykjavík School of Business. For 2026-2027, undergraduate tuition is ISK 328,000 per semester for EU/EEA citizens and ISK 897,000 per semester for citizens of other countries, because the university receives no government funding for non-EEA students. Non-EU/EEA applicants start only in the autumn semester, apply by 31 January, pay a processing fee of ISK 16,000 and need IELTS Academic 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 91.

Master's tuition for non-EEA citizens is ISK 1,052,000 per semester in Computer Science and Law and ISK 1,117,000 in Business, and MBA tuition is ISK 1,292,000 per semester for all students. Non-EU/EEA/EFTA applicants pay a non-refundable processing fee of ISK 16,000.
