Paris-Saclay University is a large public research university on the Saclay plateau south of Paris, formed from a merger of universities and grandes ecoles and strong in science and engineering. Its Board of Governors exempts non-EU students from the differentiated tuition rate, so they pay the same EUR 178 to 254 a year as EU students.
Paris-Saclay is a regular host institution for the France Excellence Eiffel scholarship (see the country guide); the university nominates candidates, students do not apply to Eiffel directly.
