Admission at a glance
NKUA's Medical Degree English Program is a 6-year (12-semester), 360-ECTS, full-time integrated medical degree taught entirely in English at the School of Medicine in Athens, with a single intake each year starting in September. The program is addressed exclusively to foreign nationals, whether from the EU or outside it; Greek nationals are not eligible. Applicants must have completed the final two years of high school abroad and hold (or expect) a diploma that qualifies them for higher education in the country where they graduated, together with one of a defined list of school-leaving or admission-test results: International Baccalaureate (36 points overall, three higher-level subjects including two of Physics, Chemistry or Biology), French Baccalaureate, European Baccalaureate, A-Levels (AAA, including Chemistry and Biology), UCAT, MCAT, AP scores with SAT, a BSc cognate to medicine, or a recognised pre-med program. Applicants who are not English native speakers, and did not attend an English-medium high school, must submit an English test result: TOEFL 80 or higher, IELTS 7.5 overall with at least 6.5 in each component, or FCE at B2 level. The application platform requires a national ID or passport, the graduation diploma, transcripts for the final two years of high school (original language plus an official English translation), the qualifying test or baccalaureate result, the English certificate where applicable, a CV, a personal statement, and optional reference letters. High school diplomas and transcripts must later be apostilled or notarised. Admitted candidates pay a non-refundable EUR 5,000 deposit to secure a place, which is deducted from the EUR 17,000 annual tuition; the remaining EUR 12,000 is paid in two instalments, in early September and mid-January. For the academic year 2026-2027 the application platform was open from 18 December 2025 to 30 April 2026.

Bachelor (integrated Medical Degree)
Completion of the final two years of high school in a foreign country, with a diploma or predicted results that qualify the holder for higher education admission in the country of graduation, plus one of: International Baccalaureate (36 points overall, including three higher-level subjects with two from Physics, Chemistry or Biology, and three standard-level subjects), French Baccalaureate (16/20 overall with at least 15 in Physics, Chemistry and Biology), European Baccalaureate (85 percent overall including 8.5 in Chemistry and Biology, with Mathematics and/or Physics included), A-Levels (AAA in Chemistry, Biology and one further science subject), UCAT, MCAT, four or more Advanced Placement exams (including AP Biology and AP Chemistry) with a high SAT score, a BSc cognate to medicine (minimum 65 percent or equivalent), or a recognised pre-med program covering Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Physics with labs.
Master
Not applicable; NKUA's non-EU fee-paying English-taught offer covered by this record is the integrated Medical Degree program, which does not have a separate master's stage.
