Admission at a glance
Mathematical Modeling in Modern Technologies and Financial Engineering is an interdisciplinary, English-taught MSc program run jointly by NTUA's School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences (coordinating) together with the Schools of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Rural and Surveying Engineering-Geoinformatics Engineers, and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. It runs for 3 semesters (90 ECTS) as a full-time program and offers three specialisation directions: Modern Technologies, Mathematics of Data Science, and Financial Engineering. The program has been included in NTUA's EU-co-funded internationalization project, which aims to attract students from abroad, and for that reason the language of instruction for the program's international intake is English. Eligible applicants are graduates (or expected graduates) of Natural Sciences, Economics, and Engineering disciplines. Selection is based on the general grade of the first degree, class ranking in the year of graduation, grades in courses relevant to the MSc, the diploma thesis grade if any, other postgraduate qualifications, research or professional activity, recommendation letters, a personal interview, and command of English; the call states that a solid background in mathematics and proficiency in English are essential. International students are explicitly welcome, and since 2023 non-EU students have been charged tuition fees of EUR 500 per semester, while EU students and Greek nationals are not charged this fee. For the academic year 2026-2027, the program's second admission cycle required applicants to submit an application form, a copy of degree or diploma (or proof of expected graduation), an official transcript, a graduation-rank certificate, a CV, a statement of purpose, proof of English proficiency at B2, C1 or C2 level, a copy of national ID, and up to two recommendation letters, all by email to the program secretariat by the stated deadline.

Requirements
Bachelor
Not applicable; this record covers a postgraduate (MSc) program only. NTUA's undergraduate (Diploma) programs are taught in Greek and were not verified as offering a separate English-taught, fee-paying non-EU bachelor track on the pages checked.
Master
Applicants should hold, or expect to hold by the start of the program, a degree in Natural Sciences, Economics, or Engineering (or a closely related discipline). Foreign degrees must be listed in the National Registry of Recognized Foreign Higher Education Institutions maintained by DOATAP. Selection considers the general grade of the degree, class ranking in the year of graduation, grades in courses relevant to the MSc, the diploma thesis grade if any, other postgraduate degrees, research or professional or technological activity, recommendation letters, a personal interview, and the candidate's command of English. Proof of English proficiency at CEFR level B2, C1 or C2 is a required document; no numeric IELTS/TOEFL score is specified.
