Non-EU students who want a full degree in Greece first need a national long-stay (Type D) visa for studies from the Greek embassy or consulate with jurisdiction over their country, then, once in Greece, a residence permit for studies under Article 33 of the Migration Code (Law 4251/2014). The residence permit itself costs EUR 16 to print and asks for proof of enrolment, health cover and sufficient resources for study and living costs, though the resources amount is set separately and was not published on the pages checked. Greek public universities such as the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the National Technical University of Athens and the Athens University of Economics and Business run English-taught programmes open to non-EU students, and the academic year starts in the autumn.
