Requirements

Bachelor

Not applicable; this record covers a postgraduate (MSc) program only. NTUA's undergraduate (Diploma) programs are taught in Greek and were not verified as offering a separate English-taught, fee-paying non-EU bachelor track on the pages checked.

Master

Applicants should hold, or expect to hold by the start of the program, a degree in Natural Sciences, Economics, or Engineering (or a closely related discipline). Foreign degrees must be listed in the National Registry of Recognized Foreign Higher Education Institutions maintained by DOATAP. Selection considers the general grade of the degree, class ranking in the year of graduation, grades in courses relevant to the MSc, the diploma thesis grade if any, other postgraduate degrees, research or professional or technological activity, recommendation letters, a personal interview, and the candidate's command of English. Proof of English proficiency at CEFR level B2, C1 or C2 is a required document; no numeric IELTS/TOEFL score is specified.

Documents

Application form (available on the program's own website and on the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences' website); a copy of the degree or diploma, or documentation showing the expected graduation date; a copy of the official transcript of records; a certificate of graduation rank (ranking certificate) for the year of graduation; a curriculum vitae covering academic studies, high school diploma grade, degree grade (or expected grade), research or professional experience, and publications if any; a statement of purpose; proof of proficiency in English at level B2, C1 or C2; a copy of national identity card; and up to two letters of recommendation, sent directly by the referees by email to the program secretariat.

How to apply

  1. Prepare all required documents, including the application form, degree/diploma or proof of expected graduation, transcript, ranking certificate, CV, statement of purpose, English proficiency proof (B2/C1/C2), ID copy, and up to two recommendation letters (sent directly by referees).
  2. Submit the full application by email to the program secretariat (pgradsemfe@mail.ntua.gr) with the subject line 'APPLICATION MTF - (CANDIDATE'S NAME)', by the published deadline.
  3. Shortlisted candidates from the first selection phase are invited to a personal interview shortly after the application deadline; the interview schedule is posted on the program's own website and on the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences' website.
  4. Final selection is based on academic record, ranking, relevant coursework, thesis grade, other qualifications, research/professional activity, recommendation letters, the interview, and English proficiency.

English test waiver

No numeric test score is specified. The call asks only for 'Proof of Proficiency in English (Level B2 / C1 / C2)', so any certificate or equivalent evidence at CEFR B2 or higher is accepted; no exemption for native speakers is stated.
