Khulna University runs undergraduate admission through its own dedicated portal, admission.ku.ac.bd, rather than through the shared GST cluster that some other public universities use. Like the other public universities in this dataset, admission follows the common Bangladeshi pattern of HSC based eligibility, an online application, and a written test that decides a merit list for each of the university's units.

A fetch of ku.ac.bd from a server inside Bangladesh on 2026-09-07 loaded the homepage in full and confirms the university was established under the Khulna University Act of 1990, began teaching in 1991 with four disciplines and 80 students, and is organised in schools rather than traditional faculties: 8 schools, 29 disciplines, 1 institute and 5 halls, with 8,231 students, including 46 foreign students, 520 teachers, 329 officers and 507 staff as displayed on the homepage. ku.ac.bd/admission, fetched directly in this same pass, returned "Not Found", and admission.ku.ac.bd was not part of this fetch, so no 2026-27 application dates, fees or unit details could be confirmed from an official page.

Requirements

Bachelor (honours), session 2025-2026

Applicants had to be Bangladeshi citizens who passed SSC or an equivalent examination in 2022 or 2023 and HSC or an equivalent examination in 2024 or 2025. The minimum combined SSC and HSC GPA was 8.00 for the A unit (science, engineering and technology), 8.00 for the B unit (life science) with at least GPA 3.00 in HSC biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics and English, and 7.00 for the C unit (arts, social science, law, education and fine arts). GCE O and A Level candidates had separate grade rules in each unit's circular.

Each unit's test is 100 marks, 60 multiple choice and 40 written, over one hour thirty minutes, with 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong multiple choice answer. The merit list is based on the test marks. Architecture and fine arts applicants sit an extra drawing test.

Applications ran from 7 to 27 November 2025, the C and D unit tests were held on 18 December and the A and B unit tests on 19 December 2025, and classes began on 25 January 2026.
