IISc charges foreign nationals the General category fees in Indian rupees; there is no separate international or SAARC rate. First-year totals, including refundable deposits, are INR 35,800 for the M.Tech and M.Des, INR 35,800 for the M.Tech (Research), INR 40,800 for the PhD, INR 1,00,800 for the BS (Research) programme and INR 2,20,800 for the B.Tech, and tuition fees and other charges rise uniformly by 5% a year. That means first-year tuition and charges of about INR 40,800 for PhD study. International applicants pay no application fee.
