Chalmers charges tuition only to students who are not citizens of the EU, the EEA or Switzerland, and prices by semester in two bands. The figures above are the rates for the 2027/2028 academic year, which is the year an applicant to the autumn 2027 intake will enter: SEK 95,000 a semester for bachelor's and master's programmes in every subject except Industrial Design Engineering and Architecture, which are SEK 135,000 a semester. Over a two year master's that is SEK 380,000 and SEK 540,000 respectively.
The rates for the current 2026/2027 year are lower, SEK 80,000 and SEK 105,000 a semester, so a figure quoted elsewhere may be last year's. Single subject courses are priced per credit, SEK 3,167 or SEK 4,500 in the design and architecture band. The national application fee of SEK 900 is separate and is paid to University Admissions in Sweden.
