The University of Zagreb has no central application for international degree students; each faculty admits students to its own English-taught programmes, and the university's brochure of programmes in English points to them. The School of Medicine's Medicine Studies in English admits up to 60 students a year through online entrance exams held several times a year. For 2026-27 the sittings were on 12 January, 12 May, 8 June, 6 July and 31 August 2026, each with its own application deadline, the last being 20 August 2026; applicants exempt from the exam through an MCAT score or a previous bachelor's degree applied by 15 June 2026, and the national ranking list was published on 15 July 2026 on the Postani student portal. The school charges a EUR 300 application fee, and admitted applicants accept a conditional offer by paying a non-refundable first tuition instalment of EUR 2,500. Other faculties set their own dates: the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing's bachelor's deadline for non-EU applicants was 1 July 2026, or 22 May for applicants who finished secondary school abroad before the end of 2025. The 2027-28 dates had not been published when this page was checked. English is required at IELTS 6, TOEFL iBT 60 or Duolingo 105 for Medicine, and at faculty-set levels elsewhere.
