Requirements
Bachelor
A secondary school qualification recognised as giving access to university study in Italy.
Master
A bachelor's degree or equivalent first-cycle qualification relevant to the chosen programme. Programmes taught in English generally expect B2-level proficiency, with the exact certificate and score set by the individual degree course.
Documents
Passport, academic transcripts and qualification certificate, a passport photo, and an English language certificate matching the requirement published by the specific degree course for English-taught programmes. Non-EU applicants already resident in Italy also submit their residence permit.
How to apply
- Apply through apply.units.it, selecting up to three programmes in one application, and pay the EUR 40 application fee.
- The university evaluates the foreign qualification and issues an admission outcome.
- Non-EU applicants living abroad who need a study visa follow the visa pre-enrolment procedure; non-EU applicants already resident in Italy and EU citizens follow a separate, simpler enrolment path.
- Take the admission documents to the Italian embassy or consulate to apply for the study visa, where required.
- Enrol and pay the EUR 300 all-inclusive fee plus the EUR 160 regional tax and EUR 16 stamp duty.
English test waiver
The university requires proof of English proficiency for programmes taught in English but sets the exact certificate and score at the level of the individual degree course rather than a single university-wide minimum; a B2 level is described as the general expectation. Check the specific programme's admission page for its required test and score.
