English test waiver
UP Diliman asks foreign graduate applicants for at least 500 on the paper-based, 173 on the computer-based or 61 on the internet-based TOEFL, or IELTS 5.5, except graduates of institutions where the medium of instruction is English or Filipino. Foreign undergraduates whose native language or secondary school language is not English need TOEFL paper-based 500 or computer-based 173, with IELTS 5.5 also accepted on the Diliman admissions page. Regular international students at associate and bachelor's level take Filipino 3 and Filipino 4 as required bridging courses from 2025-26.
