Admission at a glance

UP Diliman admits foreign undergraduates in two ways. Graduates of accredited high schools abroad can take the UP College Admission Test, or, with qualifying SAT scores, GCE O and A level passes or an International Baccalaureate diploma, apply directly to the registrar without the test; direct applications are due no later than 15 April each year for first semester admission, with no second semester intake, and cost PHP 150 for resident and USD 30 for non-resident foreign students. For AY 2027-2028 the test was held on 1 and 2 August 2026, with results in the first half of 2027. Graduate applications must be received by 15 February for the first semester and by 30 July for the second, though some colleges set different dates, with fees of at least USD 25 for non-resident applicants. Graduate applicants need a recognised bachelor's degree, a grade average of 3.00 or better, two recommendations and TOEFL iBT 61 or IELTS 5.5 unless they studied in English or Filipino. Tuition at the undergraduate level is PHP 1,500 per unit, and foreign students also pay an educational development fee. Admitted students need a 9(f) student visa arranged with the university.
