University of South-Eastern Norway Admission Requirements 2027

The University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) was granted university status by Royal Decree on 4 May 2018 and has about 18,000 students across its campuses. For August 2026, students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland pay NOK 60,000 a year for master's programmes such as Digital Transformation and NOK 90,000 a year for Computer Science and other technology master's programmes. Applying is free, the non-EU/EEA application period runs from 1 October to 15 November, and applicants need IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 80.

English test waiver

Applicants with a complete bachelor's or master's degree physically taught in Canada, the USA, Ireland, New Zealand, Great Britain, Australia or a Nordic country do not need an English test. IELTS Academic requires at least 6.0 in each component, and TOEFL iBT tests taken after 21 January 2026 need 4.5.
