Admission at a glance

The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Novi Sad runs two integrated academic study programmes taught in English: Medicine (six years, 360 ECTS, leading to the title Doctor of Medicine) and Dental Medicine (six years, 360 ECTS, leading to the title Doctor of Dental Medicine). Both are open to foreign citizens on the same tuition terms as citizens of the Republic of Serbia. For the 2026/2027 academic year, 15 seats were available in Medicine and 13 in Dental Medicine.

International applicants submit an early application by sending the application form together with copies of secondary school certificates, in the original language and with a Serbian translation, to the Department of Studies in English by email. Required documents include the application form, secondary school transcripts for each grade, the school-leaving diploma, proof of payment of the application fee, a birth certificate, a passport copy, and proof of recognition of the secondary school documents by Serbia's Agency for Qualification Recognition. Secondary school documents must carry an Apostille or full legalization and a notarized Serbian translation before the Agency will recognize them.

All applicants for the English-taught Medicine and Dental Medicine programmes must sit an entrance exam in Biology and Chemistry; those without a recognized English certificate also sit an English language skill test on the same day. The application and entrance exam fee is 6,600 RSD for candidates from Serbia, or 55 EUR for candidates transferring funds from abroad. Admitted candidates confirm their place by transferring the first tuition installment, a minimum of 1,750 EUR (25 percent of the total tuition fee), after which the faculty issues a Certificate of Attendance and an invitation letter for a Serbian entrance visa. Admitted students who need a visa apply for a D-type visa at a Serbian consulate and then register with the local immigration authority for a residence and study permit once in Novi Sad.
