University of Nicosia Admission Requirements 2027

The University of Nicosia is a private university in Cyprus's capital with more than 11,500 students from over 100 countries, teaching in English from accounting and architecture to medicine. Non-EU students pay EUR 10,320 a year for most bachelor's programmes and EUR 11,820 for Architecture in 2026-27, EUR 24,000 for Medicine, and EUR 14,490 to EUR 35,280 for a whole master's programme. The application fee is EUR 60.

English test waiver

UNIC's undergraduate programmes ask for IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 72, Cambridge First at 160 or Proficiency at 180, and students with IELTS 4.5 or above who fall short take a placement test and receive English support classes as needed. Postgraduate programmes ask for IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT 79, Cambridge First at 176 or Proficiency at 180, and master's students meet the requirement if their first degree was taught in English. Some programmes ask for more: the Clinical and Counseling Psychology masters require IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 100, and the Medical School asks for IELTS 6.5 with 6.5 in writing or TOEFL iBT 79, exempting native English speakers from the UK, Ireland, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. Greek-taught programmes have no English requirement. UNIC publishes no Duolingo or PTE Academic minimum for degree entry.
