University of Mauritius Admission Requirements 2027

The University of Mauritius, founded in 1965, has more than 7,700 students. For 2026/2027, international undergraduates pay block fees of USD 6,000 a year for science and technology programmes and USD 5,000 for other programmes, and students from mainland Africa and Asian developing countries such as Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Nepal receive a scholarship covering 50% of the block fee.

English test waiver

The University of Mauritius teaches in English. Undergraduate applicants need a pass in English Language at Cambridge School Certificate or O Level, or an equivalent; students without a recognised English qualification must provide evidence of proficiency such as TOEFL, IELTS or a similar test. The university does not publish minimum TOEFL or IELTS scores for admission.
