University of Lisbon Application Deadlines 2027

The University of Lisbon is Portugal's largest university, and its Faculty of Sciences charges international students EUR 3,500 a year for bachelor's and most master's degrees in 2026/27. Applications run in two periods, in January and April, an EUR 60 application fee applies, and an admitted student has only five days to pay a EUR 500 deposit to hold the place.

The Faculty of Sciences had not published its 2027/28 periods when checked on 14 September 2026. The 2026/27 pattern: first period 2 January to 6 February with results by 6 March, second period 6 April to 22 May with results by 19 June. Both are early in the year, so an applicant for autumn 2027 should have the Portuguese B1 certificate, the apostilled school documents and the admission exam results ready by the end of the preceding year. After a result, the EUR 500 deposit is due within five days.
