University of Copenhagen Tuition Fees 2027

Citizens of the EU, the EEA and Switzerland pay no tuition, and neither do holders of a permanent Danish residence permit or a temporary permit capable of becoming permanent. Everyone else pays one of exactly two annual rates, which the university's own fee tool returns for each of its 120 master's programmes and 78 bachelor's programmes: DKK 100,000 a year for the humanities and social sciences, covering anthropology, art history, the Asian studies degrees, economics, law and political science, and DKK 130,000 a year for the sciences and health, covering biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, computer science, medicine and the veterinary and food science degrees. The fee is billed one semester at a time, 30 ECTS at a time, and a fee-paying student pays for four consecutive semesters of a master's degree whether they finish early or late. On top of that, every applicant who needs to pay tuition also pays a non-refundable application deposit of DKK 1,120, about EUR 150, which covers all the programmes applied for in the same round and is set against the first semester's tuition if the applicant enrols.
