Admission at a glance
The University of Chittagong's own website, cu.ac.bd, confirms the university runs its own bachelor's admission test rather than joining the shared GST cluster. Its own notice board carries an item dated 23 August 2026 naming the online application schedule for the 2026-2027 first year honours admission test, confirming this university had begun publishing 2026-27 information as of the verification date. The main site's own navigation lists an Admission section with subsections for Bachelor, Master and MPhil/PhD programmes, alongside separate International Student Affairs and Financial Aid sections, on the dedicated admission.cu.ac.bd portal.
A fetch of cu.ac.bd from a server inside Bangladesh on 2026-09-07 loaded the homepage in full and confirms the university opened on 18 November 1966 on a roughly 2,312-acre campus at Fatehpur, Hathazari, 22km north of Chittagong city, and reconfirms the same 23 August 2026 notice title. admission.cu.ac.bd, fetched again from the same in-country server, returned an explicit Cloudflare "Attention Required" block page rather than content, showing the portal blocks in-country automated traffic as well as requests from outside Bangladesh. Because of that, the specific opening and closing dates, application fee and international student information referenced above still could not be confirmed beyond the notice title seen on cu.ac.bd's own homepage.
