University College Cork is a public university in the south of Ireland known for its research strength in medicine, food science and the humanities. Non-EU undergraduate applicants apply directly to the International Office rather than through the CAO, using an online application system that opens on 1 December the year before entry and carries a EUR 50 application fee. The general closing date for non-EU undergraduate applications is 31 May, but several competitive courses close earlier: Pharmacy closes on 1 March, Applied Psychology on 20 March, and popular courses such as Computer Science and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence can close in early May once places fill. Medicine and Dentistry applications from non-EU countries go through UCC's designated agents, each with its own closing date. Non-EU undergraduate tuition for 2026/27 ranges from about EUR 11,700 a year for a one-year add-on nursing degree to EUR 56,100 for graduate-entry medicine, with most other programmes priced between EUR 18,500 and EUR 27,000. Applicants whose first language is not English must normally reach IELTS 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, or an equivalent score in TOEFL, PTE Academic or another accepted test, taken within two years of the course start date.
